Protocol Overview

AuditX Protocol is a dePIN-powered, AI-driven audit layer for L2 rollups. Its nodes continuously audit registered Layer 2 root states to confirm assertions, enhancing on-chain security and transparency. Audit reports are dynamically added to the AuditX Explorer after each assertion is checked. Any user can check all past assertions on any L2 at any time to see for themselves that the confirmed batches represent the truth. Failed assertions can also be viewed transparently, helping to make web3 more transparent and secure.

What problem are we solving?

1/ AuditX Protocol addresses the verifier’s dilemma.

Innovators like Arbitrum and Optimism have pioneered the Optimistic Rollup. They designed a system where one party performs some work and escrows a bond to incentivize correct behavior. Others are then invited to challenge their work and "slash" their bonded tokens if they catch the asserter cheating. While this system is effective and dominant in the Layer 2 space, Optimistic Rollups suffer from the verifier's dilemma: there's no incentive to check someone’s work if you believe they won't cheat, but if no one checks, there’s a greater incentive to cheat. By auditing every assertion on every chain, AuditX deters validators from cheating.

2/ Providing real-time, publicly available Audit as a Service (AAAS) reports.

Although the proposer and challenger roles are open to everyone, it’s unrealistic to expect regular users to run fraud-proof programs frequently. As a Layer 2 user, everyone should have a place to verify safety instead of just trusting it. AuditX allows any user to check past assertions on any L2 at any time to ensure that confirmed batches represent the truth. Failed assertions can also be viewed transparently, enhancing web3 transparency and security.

What networks do we support?

Currently, we are auditing the test network for multiple OP Rollup protocols, including Optimism, Base, and Blast.
